It’s that time of year again! Back-to-school means new classes, new schedules and a new wardrobe for the new season. With tons of new styles coming into the store each week we wanted to share some “must haves”. We collaborated with local style blogger Kathryn Lewis, @katmarlew on Instagram, who has some quick and easy styling tips for effortless style. Kathryn picked out 4 key clothing items you need in your closet this fall.
For years, flannels have been a fall statement piece. Our flannels come in green and red. What makes our flannels unique is the gorgeous embroidery on the back. According to Kathryn, our flannels will look perfect with a great pair of high-waisted mom jeans and Doc Martins for an edgy look. If you want to glam it up, you can pair it with sleek skinny jeans and pointed toe boots.
Other than being the softest sweater ever, the best thing about it is that it can be paired with anything. According to Kathryn, you can wear it with any color pant and even a cute skirt. Matched with the perfect pair of boots and a scarf and you are ready to kill it this fall.
You absolutely need a cozy cardigan in your closet this fall. Our cardigan comes in cream and grey and it is perfect for those late night library hours in Strozier or Coleman Library. According to Kathryn, even if you’re wearing sweats, just throw on this cardigan and you will look fabulous.
Kat’s favorite must-have item is our paper bag trousers. Dainty buttons, pockets and the sinched strap are very on-trend and perfect for fall. Tightening the strap gives a paper bag effect. According to Kathryn, a cute blouse thrown on with these trousers and you are on trend for fall.
Last but not least, Kathryn put together two amazing game day outfits for Florida State University and Florida A&M University. For FSU, Kat styled this gorgeous yellow blouse with some Lunar Revolution statement earrings and this garnet headband from Headbands for Hope. The fabric is light weight and airy which is perfect for that game day heat. Plus, you’ll look stylish in the stands. For FAMU, Kat styled one of our bandeaus as a crop top! She paired the top with these gorgeous flowy green pants, gold layered necklace and orange statement sunglasses. This look is perfect for FAMU Homecoming!
