May Birthstones

The tradition of birthstones can be traced back to Aaron, a high priest and brother of Moses. On his ceremonial breastplate laid twelve stones, one for each of the sons of Israel. These twelve stones were said to hold special powers associated with the corresponding astrological sign, and that wearing these stones would have therapeutic and talismanic benefits. The idea of people wearing birthstones to harness the stone’s natural energy has been popular since the 15th century.

Labradorite is known as a “stone of magic”, the crystal of shamans and healers, excellent for awakening one’s own spirit, intuition and psychic abilities.
