Good Morning Blog Tribe!

P.S. I added a countdown to Christmas in the side bar…don’t worry, it gave me anxiety too.

What is Fair Trade?

I started my sustainable living journey a few months ago and I’m still learning new things every day. The process is changing how I see myself as a member of society. Every little change I make positively impacts the world I live in. One important change I’ve made is purchasing things though Fair Trade companies instead of mass-produced companies that ship items to my house in less than a week from over 7,000 miles away.

Fair Trade ensures fair prices, living wages, and community benefits for farmers, workers and their families in developing countries. It works in partnership with farmers to empower them, and produce raw ingredients with fairer prices, betters terms of trading, as well as additional funds for business and community development. Education, health care, and environmental sustainability all benefit from Fair Trade while workers benefit from improved, humane working conditions. Here’s a deeper look into it:FT

As some of you already know, Quarter Moon works with tons of Fair Trade companies. Here are my favorites (I have linked the company website to each one if you want to learn more about them)!
